Welcome to the students network of the University of Stuttgart

Who we are

WH-Netz e.V. is a student club and has been assigned the job of doing the administrative work related to the operation of the Dorm Network. All our members work voluntarily without a salary (i.e. we do not get paid for our work). According to the agenda, the mission of our club is not only the administration of the network, but also technology transfer. Especially, we see ourselves as a place where the theoretical knowledge acquired at university can be applied in practice and broadened on a free basis.

The technical aspects of our work range along all aspects of network administration and Free Software Engineering. Also, there are many organisational issues to be worked on.

Traffic limit increase

From now on you will be credited with 150 instead of 50 points per hour. The maximum number of points is now 150,000 instead of 50,000 points, 1 point equals 1 MB traffic. - Vaihingen (Allmandring 8A U8): Monday and Thursday, 6-7 PM
- Moehringen (Filderbahnplatz 35 Basement): Wednesday, 8-9 PM... mehr

Modification WHFunk-WLAN

In the next 24 hours the WHFunk-Network will be changed: - Using the OpenVPN service of the computer center of the Univerity of Stuttgart is also now possible. - The SSIDs of all AccessPoints get individualised: Instead of 'whfunk' they will be named 'whfunk-xxx', f.e. 'whfunk-127'.... mehr
